Perfect for pancakes AND grilled salmon.
I haven't had an electric griddle for years. However, we were having trouble getting the temperature regulated so that blueberry pancakes would turn out consistently cooked through at high elevations. I ordered this and it worked perfectly for pancakes. I also set it out on a porch and cooked salmon one night on the ridged side. the salmon was also perfect.
Nice Grill.
We bought this to replace a 10-year old Hamilton-Beach that died on us. It cooks evenly and well. We grilled sliced summer squash, and each piece browned the same, no matter whether it was: in the center or at the far edge. Steak seared nicely, and cooked well. It's not as hot as a gas or charcoal grill, but then the Cancer Society is warning people about cooking meat at too high a temperature. Excellent product
The grill "almost" makes you forgot the outside version. For steaks, the grill marks on the max settings are quite appealing. Pretty easy to clean as well. Haven't used the griddle yet.
