Kindle Customer Service 
The Kindle was a Christmas gift and after spending a significant amount of time trying to get the Kindle to stay in this cover, I gave up and called Kindle CS. I explained the problems that I was having and I was told that the cover was designed for protection and NOT to be used when reading. Interesting, since page 12 of the Kindle guide describes "Reading with the Cover On". He said that he could send me another cover but that it would not work any differently and suggested that I "search" Amazon and find... more info

Original Cover is more then enough, not sure why people rate it so bad... 
I will say this is not a perfect cover, but I have not had all the issues other people have mentioned. Sure, it could hold it better, but then would you have access to the switches and rear cover as well?.
I just cannot understand why folks would rate it so bad, if I have not experienced what they have. I use my Kindle almost every day, it does not fall out become inaccessible. Perhaps it is just in understanding what the cover is, not sure. But if some people find it useful and not a "cheap" or... more info

Worthless item
I wish I could say that I like this cover, but I don't. My Kindle will not stay in it. I am really not even sure what it is suppose to do, other than protect it while it is closed.

A piece of garbage not worthy of the Kindle
This cover is garbage. It doesn't work at all unless you want to stick velcro on your Kindle or pull the elastic over to cover the lower right corner (which quickly stretches it out.)It's ugly too (vinyl over cardboard). Save your money and buy one of the third party covers available. They are beautiful, durable and actually do their job of protecting the Kindle and keeping it secure. Amazon should be ashamed of themselves for producing this trash. The Amazon is an amazing device and deserves better.
