Talk about shear bolt pins! These are amazing. I typically lose a couple of pins each winter, and these bad boys get me right back up to speed and back in the white stuff in no time at all. Don't know how you could do any better!

Perfect Replacement; Price & Performance
Dealer wants $7 to $8 per pin; Home Depot sells them in a 3 pack for $14.95. Even with shipping this 10 pack comes out to $1.50 per pin. That is one heck of a bargain especially since the parts are from Oregon, a dependable manufacturer which has made chain saw parts & chains for what seems like forever. If these pins are just half as good as their cutting chains, they'd still be a bargain at twice the price. I bought 2 packs & saved on the minimal shipping price difference. It's a bargain 
I priced the factory shear pins for my Ariens snow blower, and they were 10 dollars apiece. All it takes is one snowfall, and not see the buried newspaper, and it winds up in shreds all over the front lawn area, and the front raker blows a shear pin.
To be honest, I have not installed these yet. I worry too much, but I was concerned that they would do the job properly. Sometimes factory components are built to higher standards, and perform better, and sometimes they are just more expensive because... more info
