Awesome Zapper 
This sucker is truly awesome at getting rid of annoying critters. I've been able to kill wasps, mosquitos, spiders, even large crickets, altho the crickets do take more exposure to shocks than the other smaller type bugs.
The weight of the handle and quality of construction will make you think twice about swinging it quickly to try and swat flies, but other than that, it's a great item and does what is says it does and slightly more. Like I said, I can kill a pretty big cricket with this thing,... more info

adequate stopping power
I first bought a 2AA battery electric fly swatter which was only killing insects half the time which was making me feel as if I was torturing bugs the other half. I wanted to use it to take out some larger spiders without making a mess but I wound up just pinning the spiders down and I still had to squish them with something else.
Over the summer there was a bee in my house and I didn't even contemplate using the weak electric swatter, so I had to order this one purely out of necessity. This 2D battery... more info

no fly swater 
to heavy with all the batteries, push botton came off the first day, 80% of flies that were hit just feel on the floor(stunned) then flew away. racket has too many wires on it to sap the insects.

Fly Tennis! The next summer olympic sport!
Works great, and it's fun for me. I might be slightly nutty, but hearing that "zap" when I get a fly can be so rewarding. The only downside is it's battery operated, I have seen them that can be plugged into the wall to be charged, I would have preferred that one but this is still a great product.
