You've seen them in restaurants and theaters--those tubes full of lights proprietors use to mark stair edges and other potential hazards that might be fallen down or tripped over in dim light. That's not to say that Good Earth Lighting's rope lighting products can only be used in public venues--you could use them as funky accent lighting in a living room, party lighting, or to outline a path in your backyard.

The key to using these lights to full effect is mounting them securely, and everything you need in order to do this is included in the hardware kit, which contains mounting clips, cable ties, and screws. The lights themselves are extremely long-lasting--they're rated at 35,000 hours, and the heavy-duty PVC rope is an unobtrusive 3/8-inch in diameter. For longer runs, you can easily connect one set to another (up to 330 feet maximum).

• Cheap at twice the price!
  Priced several strings of lights. This one was exactly the length I needed for my patio. Gives subdued lighting and it cost very little compared to other options. All the hanging brackets were included and were easy to use.

• Nice set of lights
  We ordered these for our gazebo and they are really nice! They don't give off enough light to illuminate your entire neighborhood, but rather just enough to light your area. They were also easy to install. The mounting clips that this set came with are different than that of conventional rope lights and can be a bit more difficult to install if you are using a drill. Otherwise these were a breeze to hang. They came coiled up, but unraveled and straightened with little effort. I will definitely buy this... more info

• Good Earth rope lighting
  What a great purchase! These lights are fantastic! Great for lighting the patio area & anywhere you enjoy ambient light..These are well made & priced even better! Highly recommended!

  The lights are great, but the clips break very easily, especially if you wish to reposition the rope. The screws are of poor quality and broke several times when trying to screw them into the deck.
