Amazon has faulty units in stock
Amazon seems to have a bad shipment of these grills. The first one I ordered arrived with one plate that had all four corners chipped off and another plate with non-stick coating flaking off. It also had the Styrofoam packaging between the plates partially melted. I returned it for a second grill. The second grill had a broken tilt-lock mechanism and the grill would rock from flat to tilt mode every time I closed the top down. So Far Nice Little Grill
Hi everyone! So far I like this little grill. Before I bought it, I read both negative and positive reviews. Although I don't agree with some of the negative reviews, to each their own. I will say though, I will keep an eye out for the disappearing non stick coating. That's the only negative review that I'm taking seriously. I don't care that it only comes in red or that it is retro looking. I like it and everything I've cooked on it has turned out near perfect. Even though it doesn't have a bell that goes... more info
George Foreman Grill
I received my grill last week and just used it twice today. I like it very much as I made grilled chicken and a Cuban Panini that came out excellent. I have one problem, when I received it, the handle was bent and it wasn't from shipping, but decided not to send it back. The other thing, I was checking things out and discovered that this exact grill in other stores comes with a cookbook, bonus omelet pans and cleaning sponges. Easy to use, convenient, but with some set backs
Back in college I had the old George Foreman grill which was fantastic in the dorm rooms. Years later I wanted to buy another one seeing as how my old grill was just nasty. I was pleased to see that you can take off the plates on this new grill and clean it readily or even place in the dishwasher. The grill heats up extremely quickly with different settings (low, med, high heat). With the product comes a booklet which gives suggestions for heat setting + time of cooking for pretty much everything you grill... more info
