It allows up to 4 start times a day every 1, 2 or 3 days. A watering cycle can run from 1 minute to 6 hours. Orbit Timer
This timer is easy to program and use. I've only had it for a month but it seems to work fine. I like the 6 yr warranty. Other timers have much shorter warranties and only last a few months.
The best water timer
As a devoted Arizona gardener I have an especial need to keep all of my plants correctly watered. I have found that the Orbit Digitak Watering Timer to be the best and most dependable timer for meeting all of my watering needs. I recommend it most highly.

This device is significantly better than the one it replaced. Easy to set up, easy to install, works reliably. I'll probably get another one for my backyard come spring!
Timer is great, but not very well made
I just finished disconnecting this timer, and tomorrow I will return it to the hardware store where I bought it. I have had it for about two weeks. The timer mechanism works just fine, but apparently the valve doesn't: I have a continual leakage when the water is supposed to be off. I just placed an order on Amazon for two more Gilmour timers to add to the ones I already have--they are the only timers I have used that have always been reliable.
