Stable base with bolt-down option for maximum stability
Editorial Review:
Swing and sway to your heart's content with this hanging hammock chair stand from Omni Swings n' Things. Compatible with most hammock chairs and hanging seats, the stand's clever C-shaped design creates a comfortable one-person way to relax. Omni crafts the unit from durable all-weather, powder-coated steel, so it holds up to 250 pounds at a time. The structure and width of the four-legged base make it stable even without extra support, but it comes with a bolt-down option for those who really like to rock. Less of a space hog and more portable than many full-size hammocks, the dark green stand is also simple to assemble and break down for storage or transport. --Emily Bedard

Not what I was hoping for
I just got this product this afternoon. It was much larger and heavier than I had expected, and would not fit in the place on my porch I had planned to put it. It seems to be about six feet across and is much too tall. It is also poorly machined - some of the parts can't be put together all the way, and the holes that hold the upper section on are too small to fit the bolts through. Also, paint is knocked off in places, with rust showing underneath.
Waiting for delivery
I ordered the Omni chair stand last spring 2005.
I paid for it with my Visa, and have yet to see the delivery.
Outstanding
Easy to assemble, great value, really does a great job for our hammock chair. This stand was a great value and I'm planning on buying another next month when our deck is completed!
Hammock chairs are fun in the living room!
Who says outdoor furniture has to stay outdoors? I had always wanted a hammock swing since I was a kid. We live in a highrise and putting a large tree in the living room was out of the question.
I went to Bizrate and typed in "Hammock chair stand" and it rated Amazon as the best, and cheapest online place to buy one.
The description sounded good, and it also sounded like a very heavy item (I believe it was something like 70 lbs.)
I shuddered to think how expensive postage and... more info
