• Sometimes you just want something simple...
  I recently picked up this book and I just love it. It's remarkably simple, which is what I like about it. I noticed there were some negative reviews about how amateurish it is, but you know what, why does a cookbook have to be rocket science in order to be considered well executed? Sometimes some nice, very basic and easy recipes are what people want and need when they come home and are exhausted. I like that these recipes call for few ingredients and most of them are already in your pantry. I picked this... more info

  This is a great cook book. It is well worth the cost. Great recipes.

• Book on modeling or cooking?
  I saw the author on Paula Deen and she was cute as a button. Her recipes are pretty basic, but half the book was devoted to Katie Joel, the model. They were great pictures, but heh, this is a cook book, for Pete's sake!

• Oh Wow!!!
  This cookbook has inspired me to cook again. I don't eat red meat, so I was really in a rut trying to figure out what to make for dinner. I was chickened out! I just made the flat pie with sausage and provolone substituting hot italian turkey sausage. It was fantastic!!! This southern belle turned yankee really appreciates going back to my southern roots. Thanks Katie.
